In my years as a marriage educator, I have come across many people in happy relationships. You may be surprised to find out that that these are the people I tell about the importance of marriage education. That’s because it’s an empowering experience which enhances your current successes and helps to perpetuate them.
Love starts with friendship. It’s about wanting to spend as much time as possible with your significant other, trusting them implicitly and wanting to share your innermost thoughts as well as the trivial ones.
This doesn’t change as your relationship matures, or at least it shouldn’t. When you take the time for each other and focus on communication, your friendship and love grow and blossom. You’ll be able to look back many years down the line and say that your love for each other is even greater now than it was when you first started out.
My workshops are all about preserving the deep feelings you have for each other and making your relationship even more fulfilling. They’re specifically for people who want to hold on to all the positive features of their relationship. As one participant said, “I like that this reinforced our commitment to each other to work on us.”
If your marriage is great, it’s your most precious commodity. Just as you would place your most valuable possessions in a safe in order to preserve them, attending a marriage workshop will help you safeguard your relationship.
So, when’s the next workshop?
I’m glad you asked.
